Verizon Mobile launches Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams

US mobile phone network company Verizon has announced the availability of Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, a new service that integrates mobile devices with Microsoft Teams for calling and collaboration.

Verizon claimed to be the first US operator to allow subscribers to use their mobile device’s native dialer to receive calls as a Teams endpoint. Verizon launched Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams to create a unified business communication experience.

“This is yet another example of how we are helping customers adapt and succeed in today’s changing workplace by providing the flexibility to work from anywhere,” said Sampath Sowmyanarayan, CEO of Verizon Business.

Verizon lists the key benefits of the new partnership:

One-number simplicity: Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams gives employees the flexibility to work from virtually anywhere without losing context or business presence.

Call quality: Teams calls using the smartphone dialer are treated as voice calls on the Verizon LTE network

Call transfer: Allows users to switch between devices and Teams endpoints during a call without ending the call

Cost Savings: Through an integrated calling solution that can replace standalone solutions, Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams helps reduce costs while keeping employees connected

Security: The ability to enforce secure and compliant company policies on all employee communications

With Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, organizations can have a mobile integrated collaboration and communication experience that minimizes costs and reduces security risks.

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD AND REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY WHITEPAPER

Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds, enabling businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control you can get from your on-premises infrastructure.

Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest concerns with hybrid cloud performance. By using compression and data deduplication you can reduce your network latency.

Research firm Markets and Markets predicted that the size of the hybrid cloud market is expected to grow from $38.27 billion in 2017 to $97.64 billion in 2023.

Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while still maintaining physical control over your systems.

Cloud proximity provided by colocation facilities allows you to leverage their low latency, high bandwidth connections to the cloud, as well as a solid connection to your on-premises corporate network.
