VIJAYAWADA: Villagers of Kanumuru near Gampalagudem mandal in NTR districts were terrified after observing the pug marks of a wild animal, which they suspect to be a tiger. Officials of forest department, who inspected the pug marks however did not confirm the same.

For the past few days, villagers in Kanumuru have observed such mop signs in their fields. However, they have not seen an animal in connection with the mop marks. The unknown has created various fears in people.

After receiving the information from the villagers, a team of officials led by forest officer Kalyani visited the spot and inspected those pug marks. However, they refused to confirm which animal they belonged to.

“We will take a plaster of paris mold from the pug marks and send it to Wildlife division in Rajamahendravaram to determine which animal they belong to,” said Kalyani. She asked them to take precautions and not move in the fields at night.
