The Internet and the library website are temporarily down, but the library branches remain open
On Friday, January 13th, Spectrum reported a damaged fiber in downtown Tampa. The outage affects the Internet at the Frederick B. Karl County Center and library branches, as well as the county’s provider database, trails.hcplc.org, and the library’s management system. Library patrons do not have access to the library’s digital books, catalog, and collections during this time.
Although the library’s online resources are temporarily unavailable, library patrons can continue to visit their local branch.
Spectrum expects to resolve the issue sometime on January 17th.
Residents can follow the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System Facebook and follow @TampaHillsLib on Instagram and Twitter for updates.
