A new report of DigiTimes today quotes industry sources within Epistar, which has long supplied mini-LED displays to Apple, as saying that demand for mini-LED displays for use in consumer electronics is declining and that it expects demand for mini-LED displays to screens for use in vehicle dashboards and displays that will peak in 2023.

A report from last week suggested that Samsung is now prioritizing development of specific types of OLED displays that Apple plans to use in the future iPad Pro models.
